Dr. Carmela Losurdo is a dedicated optometric physician with nearly 20 years of experience in the field. She earned her undergraduate degree in Biology from William Paterson University before pursuing her passion for optometry at the InterAmerican University of Puerto Rico, where she graduated as an optometric physician.

Dr. Losurdo completed a clinical rotation with ophthalmologists at Omni Eye Center in Rochelle Park and Parsippany, gaining invaluable hands-on experience. She attended optometry school alongside her husband, Dr. Christian Morillo, reinforcing their shared commitment to eye care.
With a strong foundation in private practice, Dr. Losurdo operated her own practice in Hudson County for nine years. She then joined Marano Eyecare in Livingston, where she worked as one of their optometrists and managed the optical department for three years. For the past eight years, she has been an integral part of Morillo Eye Associates, providing compassionate care to her patients.
Throughout her career, Dr. Losurdo has developed extensive expertise in diagnosing and treating various conditions, including inflammatory dry eye disease, chronic allergies, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and retinal diseases.
When she's not helping patients, Dr. Losurdo enjoys spending time with her three children, who keep her busy on her days off. She loves cooking, reading, and exercising, always seeking to balance her professional and personal life.
